Summary
Homemade oral rehydration solution, mixed as half a teaspoon of pink salt and a teaspoon of turbinado sugar per liter of water, drunk at about four liters a day alongside a potassium-chloride supplement taken under a doctor's supervision. Sandra Smith describes severe POTS and dehydration symptoms alongside her ME/CFS, though she does not say how long she had been ill. She reports the solution gives her some relief from her severe POTS and dehydration symptoms and is better tolerated with meals. She states plainly that it does not help her post-exertional malaise, and the account gives no sign this is anything but an ongoing daily requirement.
