Compression pants alleviating POTS
- Condition
- ME/CFS
- At worst
- Very severe (bedbound, unable to do basic care)
- Ill for
- Not stated
- Published
- Undated
Summary
Compression stockings, waist-high at 20-30mmHg, gave this bedbound ME/CFS patient remarkable stability, letting her stay propped upright for about 2 hours. Illness duration before starting is not stated. That initial benefit was followed by adrenaline surges and crashes that took about 3 weeks to recover from, so the net effect has been mixed rather than a clean improvement. At the time of posting she was still experimenting with the approach, including a possible move to stronger 30-40mmHg stockings, so no settled long-term outcome is reported.
