Summary
L-citrulline, 2 teaspoons twice daily on an empty stomach before reducing to 1 teaspoon daily, was tried by Mary, a longtime ME/CFS patient and forum moderator. It noticeably boosted her energy and daily function for about four days, similar to short-lived benefits she previously got from L-carnitine, NADH and calcium pyruvate. It also raised her blood pressure by 20 or more points and left her feeling revved up with disrupted sleep, forcing her to discontinue it. She partly attributed the blood pressure rise to also having increased her BCAA dose around the same time. The benefit was explicitly short-lived and did not persist with continued use.
What they credit
Credits Carnitine, BCAA, amino acids, Nitric-oxide boosters (beetroot, arginine, citrulline).
