Summary

In 2017 she took a three-day Lightning Process course with practitioner Live Landmark in Oslo after 23 years of "serious degree" ME (diagnosed by neurologist Harald Nyland in 1996), which by then had left her bedbound, wheelchair-dependent, unable to speak on the phone for years, reliant on home-care nurses and personal assistants, and living in a care home; earlier treatment included home-visit and clinic physiotherapy plus nerve-pain medication, antidepressants and sleeping tablets, all gradually discontinued. Two years after the course she writes, "I can do anything I want whenever I want to, and I love living my life," describing trips to Spain and Norway, hiking, mountain climbing, family time and babysitting. About a year after the course she suffered a cerebral haemorrhage, which brought a temporary recurrence of symptoms and fear of an ME relapse; she contacted Live Landmark for support and says she "got back on her feet really fast, within the hour," rather than suffering a lasting setback.
