Summary
Hydroxychloroquine, started at 200mg daily and increased to 200mg twice daily, was taken for about 18 months after being prescribed for an autoimmune skin condition (granuloma annulare). The person had severe ME at baseline and described the drug as definitely helping, with flu-like symptoms and lymph node swelling reduced and pain, stiffness and inflammation decreased. Over the 18 months their overall ME severity improved from severe to moderate. Minor nausea occurred for the first one to two months but did not require stopping. No further follow-up beyond the 18-month period is given, so whether the improvement was maintained afterward is unstated.
