Summary
Imunovir (inosine pranobex), taken in cycles of roughly 2 pills a day on low weeks up to 5 pills a day on high weeks, with weekends off and periodic 2-3 month breaks, adjusted over years of use. She had ME/CFS since March 2002, about 12 years before this account, with a pattern of good days and bad days with crashes. She reported more good days, fewer bad days, fewer virally-induced crashes, and reduced allergy symptoms while on it. The post was updated over the following decade, and by 2025 she reported her immune system running "in overdrive," making the inosine too stimulating, so she stopped taking it. This is an explicit wearing-off: an initially helpful treatment she eventually discontinued after roughly a decade of use.
