Is electro-magnetic field (EMF) hypersensitivity a real thing?

Summary
Electromagnetic avoidance was practiced through device substitution, an e-ink e-reader with wireless disabled, and shielding with anti-EMF fabric around a computer tower, combined with enzyme supplements serrapeptase and papain and later a product called ProdromeGlia. They described one of the more severe EMF-sensitivity cases, with reactions to screens and devices dating to around 2016 alongside ME/CFS. The e-ink device and fabric shielding were tolerated where other devices were not, and by mid-2025 the enzymes were reported to meaningfully reduce sensitivity, allowing longer computer use than before. After starting ProdromeGlia they reported a further reduction, describing a burning facial sensation from screen exposure as easing to "vague discomfort." Symptoms remained present at a lower level rather than resolving, making this ongoing management rather than a cure.
