Summary
Mediterranean diet was adopted as one strand of a broad, multi-modal recovery program that also included intermittent fasting, low-dose naltrexone, structured pacing and vagus nerve stimulation, with no separate dose or duration given for the diet itself. He had been severely ill with ME/CFS and fibromyalgia for about four and a half years, at his worst bedbound and functioning at only 30 to 40 percent. He went on to report complete recovery from both conditions, returning to part-time work and gentle exercise without post-exertional malaise. He describes still eating a Mediterranean-style diet as an ongoing habit, so while no relapse is reported, the diet appears to remain part of his continuing maintenance routine rather than a finished course.
