Summary
Used a mix of doxycycline (which finally knocked out a persistent fever), roughly 20 doses of dexamethasone borrowed from a friend (temporary but "phenomenal" relief), Isocort, daily hydrocortisone gel, raw herbal teas, green powders, methylation support, and multiple parasite cleanses, with no specific doses or durations given for most of these. Previously a fit cyclist, they became severely ill in September 2011 at age 49, and within about two years were too weak to walk, cook, or get to the ER, housebound since December 2011. They improved to biking and leaving the house days in a row without post-exertional fatigue, climbing several flights of stairs alone, and regaining reading and cognitive function. No relapse had occurred by the time of the post, though they describe ongoing fear that another infection could bring the illness back, and the page does not follow them further.
