Summary
Relapsed with CFS in October 2010 after three months of stress, then started Famvir 250mg twice daily (briefly upped to 500mg twice daily for 5-7 days) combined with Cycloferon; within two to three weeks felt "substantially better," with milder headaches and a less sore throat. After adding doxycycline 100mg for a concurrent strep A/sinus infection she felt "so much better," resuming a triathlon, work and socializing with only mild fatigue within weeks. She ultimately credited the antibiotic more than the antiviral for the bulk of the improvement and discontinued Famvir after several weeks.
