Summary

She credits low-dose naltrexone (LDN, though she says it "helped somewhat, not a gamechanger"), talk therapy, brainspotting therapy, and mind-body work drawing on Dr. John Sarno's TMS framework, polyvagal theory, trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness, alongside creative practices like painting and gardening. Since childhood she had asthma, allergies, headaches and anxiety, was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in high school and later with AERD, and had a major crash into severe chronic fatigue and neurological symptoms a few years before recovering, at her worst unable to climb stairs, dress herself or cut her own food. She says fatigue "no longer controls daily life" and she can garden, parent and teach yoga again, though she still experiences pain; she describes it as her body "slowly" turning "down the volume, not because I found the cure, but because I stopped living like I needed one." She still has occasional back pain and fatigue, but says she has gained emotional resilience so these no longer trigger the shame spirals they once did. She has since founded a mindfulness-based healing practice, Mending with Mindfulness, to help others, which she continues to run.
