Summary
This 58-year-old chef received sequential bilateral stellate ganglion blocks, left side then right side a week later, in January 2023, with repeat right-sided blocks in December 2024 and September 2025; the injected medications and doses are not specified. He had persistent post-COVID symptoms since infection in March 2020, about ten months before treatment, including brain fog, slowed processing, word-finding trouble, worsening anxiety, impaired balance and reduced hand-eye coordination that significantly impaired his work as a chef. The initial blocks brought marked improvement in anxiety, frustration tolerance and cognition that lasted about six months before symptoms recurred, and each repeat block reproduced similar improvement. The pattern is one of cyclical relapse requiring periodic reinjection rather than a single lasting fix.
