Summary
Torill Sorkmo credits a self-designed recovery approach combining meditation, mindfulness, visualisation and a focus on positive ("endorphin") thinking, developed after seeing a Gestalt therapist and a psychologist and after Dr Paul Kavli in Oslo diagnosed her with ME; she says taking the Lightning Process might have saved her time and money but she never did it. She had been ill for about nine years, from around 2008, with cognitive dysfunction, nausea, dizziness, brain fog, concentration and memory problems and muscle pain. She returned to full-time work in March 2018 and resumed dancing and volleyball. She describes her recovery as self-driven, saying "I've had to be my own coach all the way." No relapse is mentioned.
